Painting of Church Interior
Hendrick van Streeck was an Amsterdam-based painter who was a specialist in the depiction of interiors. He was a student of Emanuel de Witte, who was also renowned for his church interiors. This painting is an interior view of the Oude Kerk from the east, looking towards the church’s west end and the burial chapel of the influential De Graeff family. The painting was produced somewhere in the period 1675–1725.
