Ceiling Paintings

by Antonie Hendricks

The ceiling of the sacristy is painted with stylized branches with foliage, with a few birds set in-between. The painting occupies the entire ceiling of the room, including the beams. The painting is signed Anto / 1628, so we know that it was painted in 1628. Anto probably stands for Antonie Hendricks, as this painting displays close similarities to his other work.
