These gold rings were found in the Oude Kerk. The context of the jewelry is shroued in mystery; it is unknown how old the objects are, who made them and where in the church they were found. Did a visitor lose the jewelry while visiting the church and did it end up among the tombstones? Or, perhaps, did the rings come from a grave, given to a deceased person?

They are decorated in different styles. The first ring is smooth on the outside with stamps on the inside in which scallops and letters can be recognized. The ring is made of gold, weighs 3.81 grams and is 20mm in diameter. The second ring is decorated on the outside with square facets. On the inside the coat of arms of Amsterdam can be found alongside the coat of arms of Holland. The ring is made of gold, weighs 1.94 grams and is 15mm in diameter.
