Fragmented Choir Gate
Sixty-four balustrades are part of the former end of the choir, on the east side of the church. The choir screen, which was composed of a lower part and timberwork between which these balustrades were placed, enclosed the high choir and separated it from the choir aisle. The balustrades are all equal in height (48.5 cm), but differ in thickness. The thicker balustrades probably belonged to the side walls and the slender ones to the apse, the circular part of the choir enclosure.
