On November 5, a site-specific, monumental installation by Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama opened in the Oude Kerk. For Museumnight 2022, which took place on the very same day, visitors were among the first to see how the church space transformed into the Garden of Scars. During the evening, spoken word performances by Amsterdam poets and performers took place in Mahma’s ‘garden’. These were selected from a variety of submissions following an open call. Additionally, three musical performances framd the evening. For Museumnight 2022, the Oude Kerk collaborated with Poetry Circle and Red Light Arts & Culture.
