Painting of the Oude Kerk’s Interior with the Northern Aisle
This painting was produced by Bep Bijtelaar (1898-1978), who worked as an archivist at the Oude Kerk from 1960 to 1978. She made it her life’s work to identify the graves in the church. As an artist she also produced a large number of drawings of gravestones and paintings of the church. The viewpoint in this painting is looking westwards from the choir aisle into the church, giving a view to the transept organ in the St Joris Chapel.
