Drawing of the Exterior of the Oude Kerk with the North Porch and the Holy Sepulchre
Johannes Jelgerhuis (1770–1836) drew this exterior of the Oude Kerk seen from the Enge Kerksteeg in 1815. From this alleyway you can see the church’s northwest wall, with the Weitkoperskapel, the north porch and the Heilig Grafkapel. Jelgerhuis was a painter and actor who moved to Amsterdam in 1806.
