View of the South Side of the Oude Kerk

Printmaker, aquarellist, etcher, painter and draughtsman Hermanus Petrus Schouten produced this drawing of the south side of the Oude Kerk between 1747 and 1822. The drawing shows the church viewed from the south, featuring the exterior of the St Sebastian Chapel. In front of the church there is plenty of activity, with all manner of traders with their merchandise in baskets.
