In this engraving Pieter Hendrik Schut (1619 – after 1660) depicts a view of the Oude Kerk and surroundings from the south. The engraving is accurate in its representation of the exterior. At the bottom right it shows beer casks being loaded onto or off a boat from the old beer wharf on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal.
