De kapel was na deze gebeurtenis lange tijd een bedevaartsoord, tot de sloopt in 1912. Na de sloop verhuisde het tochtportaal naar de Oude Kerk, waar het nog steeds de koude buitenlucht tegenhoud."

This chapel was built at the spot where the Miracle of Amsterdam occurred in 1345, when a consecrated host was thrown into a fire but survived intact. For centuries the chapel was a place of pilgrimage, until it was decommissioned in 1908. The draught-excluding portal was subsequently transferred to the Oude Kerk, where it continues to keep out the cold outside air."
